Re: Handbrake and netbooks
people with netbooks know their computers are slow. btw netbooks don't have a dvd drive either. very few of them will be ripping dvds via an external drive. you already see people with powerful computers whine why the latest build dropped by 1fps. Re: Handbrake and netbooks
well i'm not encoding dvds.
just family videos max 2 min long in MotionJpeg format. they are like 50MB or so and would love to shrink them down.
Even with a slow processor i can still convert 2 min of videos.
so please reconsider making changes to the UI to fit netbook resolutions.
Thankyou

Preset for Flash
Now that the new version of Flash supports H.264/AAC licensed from MainConcept. Can we have a preset for Adobe flash player. Just for reference, Adobe flash supports Base, Main, High and High 10 profiles. for more info, here is the flash engineer Tunic Uro's blog post http://www.kaourantin.net/2007/...

I have been told by Apple that if it will play in Front Row, it will play on Apple TV. All Apple TV is is Front Row modified for TV. That is so not true. cause Frontrow can play anything that quicktime can play. u just install the respective codecs. I watch my xvid movies in frontrow. but you will ...

Doesn't XBOX stream content from media center. As long as u have on the fly transcoding u can play anything on xbox. The reason x264 doesn't work on xbox is because media center doesn't know how to transcode it. U need a plugin called TVersity (http://tversity.com/screenshots/). that will convert ur...

there is no opensource encoder for VC1 yet. FFmpeg can only decode VC1, as far as i know. So u won't be seeing DVD to Zune for a very long time on the mac
u will have to look at windows for a solution.http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-to-zune-converter.html

ghosh, does it make my fast motion blocky? If yes then i don't want it. If no then i want it. @hackman. thats true all those rips are XVID. so according to u, crf in H.264 won't mess my fast motion scenes, so for a scene with a car blowing up. I will be able to see the cars parts blowing up (if it e...

i have seen rips where a fast motion is blocky and normal motion is non blocky. Is that what CRF does. mess up my high motion frames by lowering quality. that is very annoying. i can for a split second see lot of blocks, and then they go away. If that is what CRF is doing then I'm disabling it. that...
