Thanks guys, will check out the IRC.
Ritsuka, will wait a bit and see what happens with your changes. I'm hoping to make the utility cross platform, probably using Qt to make life easier so hopefully I can interface with your core.
Thanks

Is there a way to build an OSX (dylib) handbrake library
Hi guys. I'm looking to put together a small utility on OSX, using handbrake for the encoding and was wondering if there's a way to build a single dylib for use in my app? I've managed to get handbrake building from source, but it generates a number of .a files with no dylib I can find. Additionally...

HandBrake thinking file is twice as long as it is
What ends up happening is that the audio repeats but the video is blank. The file was from a video camera of mine (HDC SD9) in MTS format and I ran them through ClipWrap to put them into a .mov container. They play find in QuickTime and have the correct length but I want to convert them now because ...

Re: [SVN 2907] Ripped disk returns "No Valid Source" on load
I'm running RipIt 1.3 now, and it's still showing this problem, just on less disks.
Will wait for Mac The Ripper.

Re: [SVN 2907] Ripped disk returns "No Valid Source" on load
Thanks for all the replies guys. I tried to contact RipIt with no luck and so have all but given up on them. Maybe I should look into MTR because I have found Ripit (And Fairmount) to fail on a lot of discs, and with 2907, even more that seem to rip OK aren't recognised. I ripped Dr Who series 2 wit...

Re: How to reduce or eliminate "blockies"
Thanks John, will look over that settings info. I forgot to mention that my tests were with the 2907 OSX Snapshot, and after doing a series of renders of the offending chapter at various deblocking settings it's still block as all buggery. Maybe slightly better in some than others. I assume from thi...

Re: How to reduce or eliminate "blockies"
Um, perhaps deblock=-2,-1 might have something to do with it  Have you tried leaving it at it's default value? Seems like the obvious candidate for a "blockies" problem. Hi John. It might yeah but I'm so new to all this I'm not sure what's really going on with all these settings. I ...

How to reduce or eliminate "blockies"
Hi guys. I've been encoding some DVD rips with some "conversion time VS quality" settings and most things have been fine but the other day I noticed that both in The Matrix and LotR:FotR some scenes with a single coloured background with some gradation had reduced to ugly blockiness. On my...

Re: [SVN 2907] Ripped disk returns "No Valid Source" on load
I used RipIt to rip the disk to .dvdmedia files. Further information: If I copy out the VIDEO_TS folder from the .dvdmedia file and load that with Handbrake it loads without the error, but it does seem to still get confused with the chapters. That is, it shows 2 chapters which are the length of the ...

[SVN 2907] Ripped disk returns "No Valid Source" on load
Hope this is OK to post. I saw that specific disk issues were not to be posted but seeing as this issue only happens with some options turned off, and not on the old Handbrake I thought I'd post it in case it is an issue. Defect: When attempting to load "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rin...

Re: Video repeats at end of converted file
Just chiming in as I've just started encoding videos and noticed this too. It's not RipIt's problem as my ripped files are all OK, with no repeating parts. It's once I encode them in Handbrake (0.9.3) that I get repeating parts.
This is really annoying and would be great to have a fix for it.
Thanks
