Re: Can Handbrake Convert a MP4 to MOV?

I know that one can remux it with ffmpeg
There are probably some limitations of what codecs are supported in the mov container
so the end result may or may not work if that is the case
ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vcodec copy -acodec copy output.mov

Re: svn5263 handbrakecli is crashing

It looks like the issue with the compiler has been resolved
I was able to use HandBrake-5281svn-i686-Win_CLI without crashing when using the mp4 container
Thanks

Re: svn5263 handbrakecli is crashing

that was a good hunch I had the same success also once I changed the output to be mkv, it did not crash I did a test on HandBrake-5271svn-i686-Win_CLI results were the same, mp4 output crash, mkv was good I wish I hadn't overwritten the version when I first saw this originally happen so its hard to ...

Re: svn5263 handbrakecli is crashing

@Smithcraft My standard practice is to use anydvd and either clonedvd and or dvdshirnk(with no compression settings) to rip just the main title with needed audio and subs into a movie only iso The net effet of doing that, eleviates many many issue with HB and other apps that need to attempt to analy...

Re: svn5263 handbrakecli is crashing

Thanks, but Im on 32bit, did try the HandBrake-5262svn-x86_64-Win_CLI, just in case but no dice, it wouldnt run, get the expected message HandBrakeCLI.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Re: Handbrake High@L4.1

The profile is relative to the encoder settings chosen The level is based off of resolution bitrate and some other factors you can get all your encodes to the High Profile just by choosing all the appropriate settings to get the level to always be 4.1 which may or may not be a good idea, you could a...

Re: Movie Flight?

I know that there was some issue ripping with AnyDVD, one had to use 7.1.4 beta or 7.1.5 rtm to be able to properly rip it I know this as I used 7.1.3 and it appeared to have worked but when I tried to use it with HB, it kept blowing up HB which made me take a hard look at it, which was resolved by ...

Re: Should I use the de-block filter on this?

since the mkv rip appears to be playing on the mede8er, its most likely a playback issue with vlc
I would just maybe do a sample encode with handbrake, for further clarification

Re: Should I use the de-block filter on this?

If that is what you are seeing from an mkv made from the source when you view the source HD-DVD are they also present there? the reason I ask is, its either in the source or it was a result of the ripping that introduced those color blocks, bad sectors its also possible that the blocks are a being i...

Your Welcome Registered55 You know its funny you mentioned CFR There is thread way back I had asked about CFR and VFR One would think that CFR would not have a Minimum frame rate and a Maximum frame rate And it doesnt, but in the world of handbrake it does, go figure Rodeo and one of the other devs ...

Understood This is the fps thing I was talking about, its just bizarre! Maximum frame rate : 90 000.000 fps Are you usaing makemkv to create your mkv's? I cant remember the specifics, of how and when the 90,0000 fps things happens where and why that is happening might be an important factor in the e...
