Re: Hold in Queue

Seeing how you are not the only person with a life, wouldn't it be reasonable to find a way to solve your problem without putting work on the backs of others? I mean, the specific problem you've identified could be easily routed around by giving each encode a different name. This is what I do when ...

Re: Hold in Queue

... that doesn't have anything to stop a movie from encoding once it's placed in the "Queue". Well, to be specific you can cancel a running encode once its in the queue of course. which renders it incomplete. However you cannot tell hb to "stop *after* a given encode " ahead of ...

Re: Incorrect "Format" string and other probs in OSX v.94

Okay, I did find out that somehow the Closed Captioning broke in this version, as I have finally gotten several rips to work without using it. The "format" line issue still is there but, at least now I can safely say that I have been able to get past the "Front Row" issue now by ...

Re: Blank video in Front Row [SVN2845]

I have noticed in your examples above, by quickly glancing at it, that you are using two different profiles for these encodes, the two that don't work correctly, state that they are using "x264 [info]: profile High, level 3.0" whereas the one that you claim is working is showing "x264...

Incorrect "Format" string and other probs in OSX v.94

In the "Format" line in the Queue for Mac OS X, I was noticing that if I put in a video with multiple audio tracks, (I generally put English and Spanish AAC/AC3 together,) if I mix the audio tracks, (as I did in all previous releases that were capable of it,)[english] AAC (core audio), AC3...

Re: DVD -> MP4 with multiple subtitles

There probably will never be. Converting picture-based subtitles to text-based subtitles requires using Optical Character Recognition, which is hardly reliable and often requires the user to actually input the character whenever the OCR isn't sure it got the right character. It's not something that...

Re: Transformers 2 Ripped but NO VALID SOURCE FOUND

Trick question, right? :) Handbrake (assuming you also have VLC installed) will encode straight off the disc. This didn't work for me, no matter which version of Handbrake or VLC I was using, VLC itself wouldn't even play it, again no matter the version of VLC I was using. (Mac Versions Only, didn'...

Re: DVD -> MP4 with multiple subtitles

I am using HandBrake 0.9.4 x86_64 on a Mac Mini (2009 model) Some help here, try using the 32-bit version unless your Mini can boot into 64-bit and you have the 64-bit version of VLC installed, according to what I have read, Unless you can run Snow Leopard in 64-bit mode, it's basically slower to u...

Re: DVD -> MP4 with multiple subtitles

You need to use an application to convert your DVDs' picture-based subtitles to text-based SRT files; then you can use HandBrake to passthrough the text-based subtitles to MP4. This would be done by (how)?!? What software is recommended for doing this? (Outside of Handbrake, since it seems like thi...

Re: Transformers 2 Ripped but NO VALID SOURCE FOUND

OR if you have access to Windows, download the free DVDFAB HD Decrypter and rip it to a folder on a seperate drive, formatted using FAT32, then come back to Handbrake and encode it from that ripped folder. That's what I had to do with it. Not only RipIt has problems with it, so does VLC and FairMoun...

Re: Hold in Queue

Okay, I should iterate this request is for the MAC, (I quite often forget there are other operating systems this works on, sorry for that,) version of this great software, that doesn't have anything to stop a movie from encoding once it's placed in the "Queue". Thanks Dynaflash for looking...

Hold in Queue

I'm not sure where this would go, having used the current beta version of Handbrake, I find I'm liking it, especially since it's working with Transformers 2. I would however like to request a "HOLD" feature for the Queue as there are many times I want to view the output of the conversion p...

Adjust PAR?

I'm not even sure if this is possible or not or if it's actually on tap for 1.x, but I would like to see the ability to change the PAR values as well as the size of the output so that like in the movie The Fast and The Furious (Tricked Out Edition), I can take title 31, (the one that shows what happ...

As I can't attest to the "Mitsu" drives, (mines a pioneer in my powerbook), if you're having a skip problem when encoding from the ripped folder and yet the ripped folder plays fine in DVD player, then that's not the problem. If there is a skip in the DVD player in the same place as the co...

I used Full Disk mode, the "skips" I'm seeing is where the audio and video both "skip" like a record that's been bumped. There are a few places in them where it will jump a second or two in the film. I know for sure it's not the DVD's themselves as they play just fine as does the...

I forgot to update this, after I upgraded to MTR 3.R14 I re-ripped The Fast and The Furious - Tokyo drift, then re-run it through HB, it worked just fine. I've also ripped Stigmata and the other F&F series as well as few others and haven't had any other problems with it. I didn't use the CLI ver...
