Re: AAC encoding broken & can't save presets
AAC problem sounds like: https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/issues/1744 So problem is solved in nightly releases. Use this repo if you wanna try: https://launchpad.net/~stebbins/+archive/ubuntu/handbrake-git-snapshots I cannot help about the presets problem. It partially works for me: presets ar...

Re: sourse is 1920x1080 but after its 1920x814 why
hmm, it looks like the windows version hasn't implemented this option in preferences. I hadn't realized this till I looked at the code just now. Sorry. You will have to use the query editor to add to the CLI command line option. The option is "--previews 20" if you want 20 preview frames....

Re: sourse is 1920x1080 but after its 1920x814 why
The number of frames used in the 0.9.3 release is 10. In the current snapshot, the number of frames can be customized in the preferences. JohnAStebbins, thanks for you quick answer. I'm currently using SVN2773 Snapshot and I want to test this option but I don't see the option in the GUI. Please, ca...

Re: sourse is 1920x1080 but after its 1920x814 why
Well, you can manually set the cropping to zero, but why would you want to? Cropping the matting won't affect the picture at all and you'll save bits by not encoding the black. Sometimes the auto cropping values are not correct. Reading this post I remeber that, for example, all the extras of the D...

Re: .MP4 / .M4V file extension problem
Ok, I misunderstood the funcionality of this option. I can change the extension after the encoding or even manually in the destination file text box before encoding.
Thanks and best regards.

Re: HandBrake SVN2773 Snapshot
Thanks for the update, I'm testing it now. BTW: .srt support is a great idea but I have a question: can these kind of subtitles be burned directly into video stream?. If the answer is yes I will be really happy because I use the encoded videos in a non subtitle stream capable device. I tried to make...

[invalid].MP4 / .M4V file extension problem
Hello, I don't check the option "Use iPod/iTunes friendly file extension (.m4v) for MP4" but the extension assigned by the GUI is always .m4v instead of .mp4. -Version: SVN2773 GUI -Date of download: 23/08/2009 -Platform (Mac, Linux, Windows): WINDOWS -Settings (video encoder, picture dime...
