Re: How to rip my DVDs with good quality?
For ripping TV-Series DVDs for playback on my PS3 via PS3MediaServer I use: MKV File Detelecine, Decomb, H.264, Framerate 29.97 (same as source has MKV bug), Constant Quality 62%, 5.1 AC3 ref=3:mixed-refs=1:bframes=6:weightb=1:direct=auto:b-pyramid=1:me=umh:subq=9:analyse=all:8x8dct=1:trellis=1:nr=1...

Re: No Crop option
OK so to revise my request: Is it possible to add a "None" or "No Crop" radio button/drop down option that is saved as part of a custom preset regardless of other picture settings (like anamorphic, size, etc). If so, I'd like to request that this be added. Use Case: I'm archiving...

Re: No Crop option
Hmm I'm having trouble following the advice you've given.
The Windows client (which I'm using) doesn't seem to let you set a picture size - it says "Select a Title" and grays out the Width/Height - what am I missing?

No Crop option
Right now the crop options are Automatic or Custom. I'm requesting you add a "None" or "No Crop" option. If I have a custom preset I define, I'd like to be able to set it for no cropping instead of the current process of having to pick custom and zero everything out for every fil...

Decomb and 2-Pass encoding
My question is why in the PS3 profile doesn't handbrake use the decomb filter and 2-Pass encoding by default?
Are there any negatives to using these settings (provided encoding time is not a factor).

Re: PS3 Surround Sound
Here's what you want to do: 1) Use Handbrake to make a MKV (H.264 w/ 5.1 AC-3) 2) Use MKV2VOB to convert the file to a M2TS (AVCHD) no transcoding takes place, it just repackages the files. For MKV2VOB settings: http://www.bitburners.com/articles/convert-mkv-files-for-playstation-3-using-mkv2vob/402...

[Rejected] Why isn't PS3 Default Output M2TS?
I've been researching the best way to archive my DVD collection lately for playback on a PS3. Handbrake currently uses MP4 with H.264 and downmixed AAC audio as its preset for the PS3. It seems to me that M2TS (H.264 with 5.1 AC-3 audio) would be a superior default for the PS3. Are there plans to su...
