Re: Auto-Rotate doesn't produce rotated video
Now, the video is rotated correctly when I use "--rotate=angle=270", but with "--rotate" it get's rotated 180°. Log from 270: https://pastebin.com/kZSDRPVa Log from auto: https://pastebin.com/ATyXjZr9 Removed the time stamps so it can easily be diffed. @Ritsuka: Can you reproduc...

Re: Auto-Rotate doesn't produce rotated video
btw: Noticed two minor things that probably shouldn't be that way: 1) libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable. libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO. Printed on stdout as it is not redirected to the activity log with "2> activity.log". Should probably be on stderr, too. 2) Encodin...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCmuATH2yzo Had a typo in my batch: "set ROTATE==--rotate=angle=270" Now, the video is rotated correctly when I use "--rotate=angle=270", but with "--rotate" it get's rotated 180°. Log from 270: https://pastebin.com/kZSDRPVa Log from auto...

Then I don't understand why it's still vertical after encoding.

Auto-Rotate doesn't produce rotated video
Description of problem or question: I have a video that has been recorded vertically. MediaInfo shows a rotation of 90°. I want to resize and rotate this video, but the output (though different in file size) is not rotated (played in MediaPlayer Classic Home Cinema). The activity log reads "Au...

HandbrakeCLI ignores encoder and quality settings from preset
I have a custom preset configured that is using x264 with a quality of 22. When I convert a video using the following command it produces an output video that is using a fixed bitrate of 1000 kb/s encoded with x263 (at least this is what MediaInfo tells me). HandBrakeCLI -i input.mp4 -o output.mp4 -...

[offtopic]: Looking for translation for Open Source project
Hi, I´ve read the forum rules, so I hope it´s ok to post this here... I´ve written a small program (open source) and am now looking for translations into other languages. It´s only two sentences and some words. As I know that here are many people talking French, it would be really great if you could...

[Accepted] Register .queue extension with HandBrake
Hi,
it would be nice if saved queues could be opened by simply double-clicking the .queue file in Explorer.
Cheers

Re: default path is overwritten on update
Settings are not meant to be maintained across versions. I really like Handbrake but this has to be the only software I know that doesn´t preserve the user´s configuration between versions. I guess it also means that you reset the configuration on first start instead of just leaving the config alon...

Re: Automatic naming of files when output file does not exist
oh sorry, you´re right.TedJ wrote:You sure you don't have the auto name option set? This appends the DVD title number to the volume name.
apparently this is the same problem I already posted in http://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=12967

[Invalid]Autonaming of files when output file does not exist
Hi,
the automatic naming of files seems to always put a "-1" at the end of a filename even when the filename without "-1" does not exist.
It would be nicer if the original filename was preserved in that cases.

[invalid] default path is overwritten on update
Hi,
I just updated from svn2845 to svn2907 and again noticed that the default output path is lost between updates.
It was set to "c:\1temp" and got set to "Click 'Browse' to set the default location".
I didn´t check wether the other options are overwritten, too.

Offtopic: web.de not allowed as email-adress for this forum
Hi,
my normal email-adress is something@web.de but the forum tells me that web.de is not allowed.
Why is that? web.de is one of the biggest german email providers
Cheers

Re: several RFEs
- when adding a preset, enter should work for "add" and ESC for "cancel" While technically possible, it would appear this is not a good idea. You can't capture the escape key without overriding system functions. Enter key is also a nuisance because it's default for popup message...

several RFEs
Hi, I couldn´t find a place to post "request for enhancement"s so I hope this place is ok. First of all, thanks a lot for HandBrake. It´s powerful yet easy to handle. I noticed some things: - it should be possible to overwrite existing (own) presets - when adding a preset, enter should wor...
