More then 2 years after this thread has been created, its pretty save to say the 'maybe' and the '?' could be removed from the title. (Not that it would have been necessary to begin with)

Re: any news from Muxo ?
Sorry about that guys...
Unfortunately there seems to be a HW error with the server that might take longer then expected to resolve.
Just when I was ready to push a new muxo release out this crap happend... I really hope everything is back to normal soon.

Re: Naming audio tracks after encode
Just added this feature to Muxo v0.3.5.
You can now rename any track - or assign names to formerly unnamed ones.
Im going to release the new version as soon as my server is online again (HW error... )

Re: [Patch (v0.001)] Subtitle support for mp4 files
Nothing checked in so far. You guys did quite some crazy stuff with mp4v2... like breaking reading of avc1 atoms :? Anyway.. I just got Muxo kinda working again. Now i have to decide what i should move from muxo to mp4v2... probably not much since all the basic stuff was already working half a year(...

Re: [Patch (v0.001)] Subtitle support for mp4 files
Now where handbrake is slowly evolving from a "DVD to MPEG-4 converter" to a general transcoding tool I think it would make sense to give this whole subtitle problem another try. First step is that I started switching Muxo over to the code.google.com mp4v2 repository and im in the process ...

Re: Will the SnowLeopard architectural changes affect Handbrake?
The only thing that WOULD change is if the developers choose to use OpenCL. But then people would really have to have custom builds that depend on what video card they have. The whole point of opencl is to abstract any concrete stream processor away - so you DONT have to have custom builds dependin...

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
Guess I can take a look to see if CC support can be integrated into muxo.
The only good reason to store CCs not as timed text in an m4v that i can see is that appletv does only support CCs right now...

oh, btw entropic, congratulations on hitting TUAW ;) Thanks :D To be honest, I'm really surprised how many people are actually interested in muxo... 1500+ downloads just in the last couple of houres.. Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
muxo, I had a 'clean' (mp4box'd raw AAC + raw H264) file, then muxo'd subs in...I'll cut down the size a little bit (its 720 MB, maybe I'll make a 1 minute sample?) and upload it to rapidshare later, and then edit this post to include the link EDIT: ~ 1 min clip of the movie: http://rapidshare.de/f...

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
EDIT2: I uploaded a crash log for you: http://lab.iirojappinen.com/Muxo_crash.html The link leads me to an empty page. Something i might have forgotten to mention: Never try muxing subtitles that are not utf8 encoded. Normal english text will work - but all (accidental) tests with cp1250,etc.. caus...

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
From what I understood, AppleTV has CC support - but not for subtitles. (Somebody correcty me if im wrong - i don't own an appletv) Seems pretty strange to me that ipods/iphones support subtitles - and appletv doesnt.... another one of those weird differences between their devices. (no idea what the...

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
yep, changing the width from 0 and then changing the offset from -60 fixed it Is this happening when you add the subtitle track with muxo, or if you do it with mp4box? I know for a fact that mp4box is not handling everything correctly (in the sense of 'not the apple way') when adding subtitles. If ...

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
You sure you changed the file extension over to .m4v? Quicktime wont recognize the track otherwise.mp4box -add file.ttxt -add file.264#video container.mp4
If this is not the issue, please upload a sample and i'll figure out why it doesn't work with muxo.

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
Thanks for continuing to update it. It works perfectly with everything I've throw at it so far. The only flaws I've encountered (italic tags and the maximum of 2 rows of text), I assume are caused by Quicktime player's shoddy subtitle support because they show up perfectly fine on the iPhone. I'm s...

Re: Tool to add subtitles to mp4s
So additional infos: For now it fails if you try to add subs to a file that has already been tagged - so only fresh handbrake encodes for now... Even worse - it seems that MetaX is stripping my subtitle tracks out :( Don't suppose you'd be willing to share the source? Sure! Eventually i want a publi...
