Hi I've been ripping a lot of music DVDs lately, so I have experienced this problem on several DVDs, this is just the first time I've been able to figure the bug out. To get the lossless LPCM track I need to demux the video with DVDDecrypter which produces a lossless transfer of video in the M2V con...

What do i do when i get "no source"
Hello, I've been using Handbrake for several hundred DVD conversions. Every once in a while, when I load a DVD i get "no source" in the status bar. When I play the DVD in VLC however there are clearly titles and chapters listed. What do i do to remedy this?

Re: What does "Pass-Thru" do?
ac3 is lossy, so that would mean that the files inside the .vob container are all broken up into chapters?

Hello, i've googled about this, but i cant figure out if "pass-thru" is a lossless transfer of the audio track from the dvd or a re-encode. i'm about to start encoding some dvds and need to find this out.

Re: Lossless Encoding
i've stored lossless (video) 1080p high definition clips on my computer. i think we are ready for lossless standard def encoding, which would be very beneficial for archiving rarities. lossless audio is ready too: "HandBrake is no longer limited to DVDs...". it would be great to have a fl...

does grayscale encoding reduce file size?
in photoshop you can have a grayscale image in either RGB or grayscale mode and the file size is significantly different. is it the same in handbrake encoding or does grayscale mode exist to subdue unwanted colors that might leak into a grayscale film? or both?
