Shell Script using CLI to batch process .avi's to AppleTV

Postby cannoli » Sat Oct 31, 2009 5:59 am

Can someone write a shell script to process all the .avi's in a directory and convert them to the AppleTV format? HandBrake GUI keeps crashing using Snow Leopard and batch processing is taking FOREVER with all the clicks in Winblows!

Info:

OS is Mac OS X 10.6.1

CLI is installed

Format needs to be AppleTV

There is spacing in the file names and directory structure

Source directory is "/Volumes/WD External/Inetpub/ftproot/Registered Users/Movies"

Destination directory is "/Volumes/USB Backup/Video Converter"

Thank you in advance!

Also, I would to have the output file name the same as the input file name but with the new .m4v extension.
