Most Versatile Presets

I checked some of the postings and didn't find this question. I'm new to Handbrake and noticed there are several presets I can use when converting a DVD. Since I don't want to have multiple versions of the same movie is there one preset that will pretty much serve my purposes. I've been using Basic/Normal for my preset. I have AppleTV, two iMacs, an iPod and and iPhone and watch video from all of them. I realize there may be a tradoff between presets but is it that big of a deal. Much appreciated. Thakns!

The "Universal" preset in the development snapshot was designed specifically for compatibility with multiple apple products.
